I’m going to go out on a limb but in my opinion it’s better than The Taj Mahal. And not just my opinion but Sarah thinks so too. So that makes it a fact. There’s simply more going on. It’s free, it’s open 20/7, it’s very well organised, it’s a fully operational temple, there are people bathing, there are guards with spears, there was a group of musicians and there’s free food. And unlike The Taj, the approach to the temple is also very agreeable.
If you ever visit, all you need to know is you need to take your shoes off. There is a shoe repository which is super fast (hard to believe given the number of people). You wash your hands before you go in and you walk through a foot bath so your feet are clean. Your bag is searched (again, it took 30 seconds, no queue) and you’re in.
