Having already been once during the day we pushed ourselves to see it by night. We were about to order an Uber but there was a rickshaw literally parked where we were standing and ready for action so we took it. In keeping with the rule of no motor journey being straight forward, the rickshaw broke down on the ramp to an overpass about half way there. When I got out the driver thought I was actually helping him by lightening the load up the hill and took off with Sarah! Sarah soon helped him some more by alighting herself and we got another rickshaw. The Golden Temple is spectacular by night and well worth the effort.
