A 45 minute taxi ride from Benaulim was Panaji (also called Panjim) which is the capital of Goa. It’s located on the coast but also at the mouth of a river and has an extensive fishing fleet. The older architecture is Portuguese and there’s a great choice of restaurants so a fantastic place to end 6 weeks in India.
