The main attraction of Udaipur is the City Palace. We had a guide take us around ( very much worth it) and following the tour there was plenty more to see on the peninsula facing the lake.
Here’s what Chat GPT has to say on the subject in <100 words…
Udaipur City Palace, overlooking Lake Pichola, is a magnificent complex of palaces built over 400 years by the Mewar dynasty. Blending Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, it features ornate balconies, courtyards, and marble interiors with intricate mirror work and murals. Highlights include the Peacock Courtyard, Crystal Gallery, and panoramic views from the upper terraces. It remains Udaipur’s top attraction and a living symbol of royal heritage.
