We arrived on the last day of the Camel Fair. This is a great marketplace for the buying and selling of thousands of camels and horses. It happens in the fields just outside town and is accompanied by hundreds of pop up food and drink stalls. As the fair ends The Mela starts with many unmissable events. In the evening there’s a massive funfair and coincidentally whilst all of this is happening, there are a series of large Hindu events in town. Something for everyone you might say. Here’s the itinerary for the mela. Sadly we will miss the moustache competition because we will be en-route to Udaipur on that day.
