We thought we would try the highly recommended Praca restaurant which turned out to be a mostly Italian affair. The food was excellent. The wine was Indian. Nothing is ever incident free though. We ordered garlic prawns to share for starters and Sarah ordered a sea bass main with a side order of vegetables. And of course the veggies were first out of the kitchen! But otherwise trouble free and great food. But the music! It started with Dr Hook and moved onto Glenn Campbell. I must have been in a reflective mood because it occurred to me that Rhinestone Cowboy is a perfect song. Then incongruously a bit of Suzi Quattro but I forgave them because who doesn’t like If You Can’t Give Me Love. Inexplicably there was quite a bit more Dr Hook and inevitably we heard If I Said You Have Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me. I bet Sarah they would play The Bellamy Brothers before we left and I won as Let Your Love Flow Like A Mountain Stream came on as we were halfway out the door. You don’t get this kind of thing in Leamington.
If you are a millennial you will have no clue about any of this so sorry for that.
Also, it made we wonder if there are any other song titles that are puns. Let me know if you can think of any.
