It turns out that Goa isn’t a city with a beach but it is India’s smallest state with a long series of beaches covering most of its coastline. We scheduled to have our final week in Goa, first in Benaulim and then finally in Panaji (also called Panjim) – the capital of Goa. Benaulim is fairly quiet with a string of beach hut eateries along the coast line. Our hotel was 6 minutes from the beach so perfect for getting around. This being India, there was of course beach cows and beach community dogs. Also a small fleet of fishing boats launching directly from the beach.
